The end of January marks the 5th anniversary of The Byzantine Life! Although the blog didn’t go live until March, January 2018 marked the beginning of The Byzantine Life, when we purchased the domain and began building this site. There are also many great feast days in January, with the 1st marking both the Circumcision of Christ and St. Basil! It is also the time for house blessings (an article for which is coming up this month).

Special Plans
This month is a good time to tidy our homes, declutter from the Christmas extras, and to prepare our homes for the house blessing!
If you want some extra guidance in these areas, you can check out our series on Home Management, or our Organization Crash Course, or an article on Decluttering. If children seem to be the source of a home’s organization challenges, check out our article on Toy Organization.
